The Bauer Vapor X2.9 Goalie Skates feature a 3D Fiber Composite boot with a redefined Vapor Goalie Fit to deliver better stability, an improved ankle wrap, and more depth on the top of the foot to keep your feet locked in, just like your concentration.
Inside the Vapor X2.9, a HydraMax 2 Liner will keep your feet dry so you can focus on making save after save. Bauer’s Flex Edge Collar is a flexible synthetic pad around the collar of the boot that allows goalies to get closer to the ice, whether pushing across the crease or dropping into a butterfly position. Lastly, plush foam ankle pads deliver thermoformability, comfort, and an improved fit.
A Pro Felt Tongue is a traditional felt tongue with a mesh metatarsal guard that prevents discomfort through forward flex and lace-bite.
On the bottom of the skate, a Lightweight TPU Outsole assists goalies with energy transfer from the boot to the blade. The X2.9 still comes attached with Bauer’s patented VERTEXX Edge Holder. This quick-release holder has an integrated trigger system that can be used to change runners in between shifts, making sure you never miss any ice time. Coupled with the VERTEXX Edge Holder is the TUUK LS1G+ Stainless Steel.
The Bauer Vapor X2.9 comes standard with a Lundqvist Loop attached to the backside of the skate, allowing goalies to strap their pads along the Achilles instead of through the holder/cowling.
